Abstract
This paper gives a short overview for the most important possibilities for parametric optimization methods in the field of numerical simulations. Subsequently criterias are listed showing the optimization characteristics of continuous fiber reinforced plastics like CFK. The evaluation of the most important optimization settings is done be an automatic process using a benchmark from industry and ensuring reliable results by performing several optimization runs. For this typical composite benchmark properties are included which make it necessary to differ from established optimization settings. With a sensitivity study and these findings the engineer can be supported to make the right decisions with regard to optimization settings in order to safe time due to less runs that are necessary for his composite optimization.
